Save a Nurse Today, Terms and Conditions

‘Nurse’ refers to registered agency staff members actively working with the participating entities.

‘Participating Entities’ means the Healthcare Australia Entities participating in the promotion. These entities are ASEPS, Malvern Nurses Agency, Nursing Agency Australia, NASANSB, NT Medic, PCC, Staffing Synergy and Western Australian Nursing Agency.

‘Promotion’ means the Save a Nurse Today and Enjoy a Break on us promotion, entailing the refer-a-friend component and the Best Recruiter prize for the best refer-a-friend recruiter nationally across all participating entities during the promotional period.

‘Refer-a-friend’ means the referral component of the promotion, in which an active agency staff member refers a new member to join a Healthcare Australia entity whom has previously not joined or been a member of any other Healthcare Australia Agency. If the new nurse completes his or her first 10 shifts within 8 weeks the referring agency staff member and the new nurse are eligible for a refer-a-friend bonus.

Subject to these terms and conditions, Healthcare Australia makes the offer for the duration of the offer period, November 2, 2009 to March 31, 2010.

The promotion is available to all active agency staff.

In order for the referring nurse and the newly referred nurse to be eligible for the incentive the new nurse must complete his or her first 10 shifts within 8 weeks between November 2, 2009 and March 31, 2010.

The new ‘referred’ nurse must be newly registered (and not previously registered with any of the participating entities) or an inactive staff member who has not worked with any of the participating entities within the past 6 months.

The promotion is also subject to the existing standard terms and conditions for employment with participating entities respectively.

The winner or winners of the promotion will be selected according to highest number of new nurses recruited in accordance with the refer-a-friend criteria. Winners will be awarded first, second and third from highest number, second highest and third highest nationally.

The winner or winners of the promotion will be selected after the completion of the promotion period, March 31, 2010.

The full name of the referring agency nurse must be provided where applicable on respective application forms. Please note that refer-a-friend details are not standard on all application forms for participating agencies.

The new nurse must communicate the referring agency nurse’s full name during his or her registration process.

This promotion runs separately to any other offer or promotion conducted by any participating Healthcare Australia entity.

All active agency nurses only are eligible for the refer-a-friend incentive for referring a new nurse.

Healthcare Australia will attempt to monitor completion of shifts. However, it is the responsibility of the referring nurse or the referred nurse to contact the participating agency upon completion of 10 shifts within the promotion period.

The refer-a-friend bonus will be paid after the completion of 10 shifts within 8 weeks from date of commencement during the promotion period only.

The refer-a-friend incentive will be paid as a gross amount, subject to tax, with weekly wages.

The referred person is eligible for one refer-a-friend bonus only upon completion of his or her first 10 shifts.

The decision regarding the best recruiter results and overall winners are final.

Healthcare Australia reserves the right at any time, in its sole and absolute discretion, to suspend or terminate this promotion for any reason.

Healthcare Australia reserves the right at any time, in its sole discretion, to vary the terms or conditions of this promotion.

In the event of suspension, termination or variance of terms or conditions Healthcare Australia is to provide participating agency staff notice.

The staff member who recruits the most successful new nurses in accordance with refer-a-friend criteria (ie: achieving refer-a-friend bonus) across all participating agencies nationally will win a $2000 travel voucher.

A $1000 travel voucher and a $500 travel voucher will also be awarded to 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

The best recruiter winners can nominate to receive their prizes as a bonus in their pay rather than as a travel voucher. This bonus will be made as a gross payment, subject to tax.

Participants permit to having their name, agency of employment and home state featured in newsletters, eNursing pages and websites of participating agencies.

Any personal information provided by staff members will be used by Healthcare Australia to conduct the promotion only, for the purpose of making payment of bonuses and providing contact details for issuing of vouchers.
